General Secretary Hopeful lauds President Kufuor on his 79th birthday
As well wisher and General Secretary Hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, Richard Ahiagbah, yesterday afternoon, visited the home of Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, to share in his joy of celebrating 79th birthday anniversary.
As the former President turned 79 on Friday December 8, 2017, he was flooded with birthday wishes from party faithdfuls, his counterparts, his family as well as, well wishers.
And looking at a few among the million wishes that was showered upon the Former President, Richard Ahiagbah had express overwhelming excitement in witnessing the birthday celebration of the President, describing Former President Kufuor as a great leader whose legacy will always resound in the annals of Ghana’s history.
According to the Aspiring General Secretary, It gives him great pleasure to join the nation, friends and family of President John Agyekum Kufuor in celebrating his 79th birthday.
“This occasion is no doubt a monumental milestone in the life of President Kufuor, just as it is in the life of the Ghanaian Republic. The President was born not only to live as Ghanaian, but grew to be an active player in every event that shaped the country into what it is today”. Richard Ahiagbah indicated.
President Kuffuor’s leadership personality from a very tender age, He said, eventually thrusted him to a higher political platform, where he thrived and became one of the country’s iconic nationalists.
“The indefatigable patriot served his people as President with humility and was as well a great believer in national unity. His belief that leadership must do everything to preserve our unity and shun all that threaten, is a salient ethical and ideological beacon, which should continue to inspire all of us”
“Though I’ve not known him all my life, but his active participation in the NPP, his commitment and his 8years in government was simply outstanding and worth commendable. He has always been a thoughtful, firm, consistent and punctual leader who possesses a profound understanding of human nature” Mr. Ahiagbah emphasized.
Former President Kufuor, he said, is a great leader, whose legacy will always resound in the annals of our history.
“We must be thankful always for President Kufuor’s life and service, and always let him know that we appreciate the blessing and inspiration he has been to us. As we continue the task of nation building as he taught us, let us all reflect on the many ways we can emulate him, and improve on his legacy” He urged Ghanaians.
