The event which is spearheaded by Media Men Ghana in partnership with the Medical and Dental Council, the Ministry of Health, Ghana Nurses and Midwifery council, also collaborates with Ghana’s biggest Royal palace of the Ashanti Kingdom, the Manhyia Palace.

The noble celebrated King is confirmed to be all set to host the very distinguished Medical Practitioners including reputable health organisations and associates for the said exclusive awards ceremony.

This memorable event is slated for Friday April, 14, at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi.

Prominent among awardees for the evening will be Honourable Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, the pioneer of Ghana’s first cardiothoracic centre who will receive the highest honours as the PCP Legend of the Year.

As the chief celebrant, Prof. Boateng shall be decorated with a 24 carat gold medal, a brass bust of him including him being named after a state of the art first aid centre constituting three ultra-modern Ambulances and a helicopter ambulance.

This is to acknowledge his significant contribution towards the overwhelming enhancement of the medical field in Ghana and Africa.

Other notable Ghanaians to receive awards include Bishop Dag Heward Mills, Okyeame Kwame, DCOP Dr Ebenezer Ewusi-Emmim, Dr Mike Agyekum Addo, Dr Bryite Asamoah, Dr Ellen Boakye, Dr Kwaku Oteng, Dr Osei Kwame Despite, Dr Richard Selormey, Sara Nana Yeboah and Ellen Boakye.

Dr Benedicata Ohene-Manu leader of the organizers, Media Men Ghana Limited at a press conference hinted that, management has resorted to honouring the gallant dignitaries with high carats of gold due to the prestige nature of the enterprise target group and to also make the elements of the honorarium carry the true value of its prime intent.

This is to avoid making the symbol of honour to be seen merely as a cosmetic object but also one with equal cash value, hence making the HELEH AFRICA- PCP medal among the very desired valuable material aspirations of outstanding practitioners and also as a key ornament among the wealthy achievements and “inheritance” of every truly successful entity in the targeted industries.

Imperatively, it is to set the pace for the silent crusade to defray the current very poor attitude towards appreciating diligence and excellence, where awards initiatives have been reduced to mainly presentations of crystal plaques.

Ultimately, with His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, being the live patron of the noble novelty, the best ornament deem fit is none than Gold. She emphasized.
