GEMA announces closure of Agbogba-Haatso road for Reconstruction of Box Culvert
The Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), in collaboration with the Hydrological Services Department, has announced a total closure of the Agbogba-Haatso main stretch, starting from Sunday June 7, 2020, to pave way for the reconstruction of a box culvert at flowers.
This was announced in a statement issued on Sunday, 7th June, 2020, and signed by the Municipal Urban Roads Engineer, Mr. Aboagye Foster.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT*
*CLOSURE OF AGBOGBA-HAATSO MAIN ROAD FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BOX CULVERT AT FLOWERS*
The Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Abokobi and the Hydrological Services Department wish to inform the general public that the Agbogba-Haatso main road, the section after ECOMOG junction to Adjei-Mensah, towards Wisconsin University, will be closed to traffic from *Sunday, 7th June, 2020.*
This has become necessary to allow for the *RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BOX CULVERT AT FLOWERS.*
The demolition of the existing culvert will commence from *Monday, 8th June, 2020.*
The general public is hereby informed to use alternative routes when moving to and from Agbogba on the stated stretch of road.
The alternative routes are as follows:
1. From Haatso (Wisconsin or Legon Botanical Garden side) heading towards Agbogba, kindly divert at Adjei-Mensah through the Nii Nortey Palm Crescent (formerly Supermarket Road) through Haatso ECOMOG.
2. From Agbogba heading towards Haatso (Wisconsin or Legon Botanical Garden side), kindly use the ECOMOG Road or any alternative convenient route to your destination.
3. Alternatively, commuters/motorists can use the North Legon or Madina routes to and from Agbogba.
We entreat the general public, especially all road users/motorists to observe the necessary traffic arrangements made and cooperate with us for speedy completion of the project.
