Chief Executive Officer for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. John Kumah, has officially expressed readiness to lead the people of Ejisu in this year’s elections, after receiving his nomination form from delegates of the Ejisu Constituency.
Apart from ensuring development in the area, Mr. John Kumah’s love for his people and the desire to positively impact the youth, informed his decision to accept this responsibility from the delegates who willingly contributed to pick a nomination form for him to join the Parliamentary race.
Numbering over Five Hundred (500), out of the Seven Hundred and Fifty (750) NPP delegates in the Ejisu Constituency who have thrown weights behind Mr. John Kumah, on Monday, January 27, stormed the party’s office to pick a nomination form for him to contest in the upcoming Parliamentary primaries of the NPP.
The move did not only demonstrated their level of trust in him as candidate fits for the position as Member of Parliament for the area, but also offered hope and future prospects to the people of Ejisu.
Speaking to the media after handing over the form, the Assembly Member for Okyerekrom Kokoobra Electoral Area, Michael Nsowa Agyemang, expressed appreciation to Mr. John Kumah’s contribution and commitment to his people and the NPP as whole.
As the Bible says in Mathew 7vs16 and I quote “By their fruits ye shall know them”, Mr. Nsowa Agyemang, indicated that Mr. John Kumah, was chosen by the people for his good deeds and his candidature is simply a good omen for the constituency.
“We appreciate his good works, thus, the delegates numbering over 500 out of the 750 delegates in the constituency, decided to pick up the nomination form and presented it to him”. He emphasized.
Mr. Nsowa Agyemang who is also a polling station Chairman and member of the communication team in the constituency, revealed that they had decided all this while and were optimistic about Mr. John Kumah’s candidature to be their next Member of Parliament (MP).
He said “We know John Kumah. He is one of us and for the past few years, he has been working for the progress of the New Patriotic Party, Ejisu and Ghana.”
Mr. Agyemang intimated that industrious people such as John Kumah have help brought development in the area, the reason they contributed among themselves to pick the nomination form even before he (John Kumah) decides to do that himself.
The CEO of NEIP, Mr. John Ampontuah Kumah, on receiving the nomination form, said he is humbled by their gesture and didn’t expect the kind of love shown and the excitement to begin his journey of becoming the next legislator for the Ejisu Constituency.
“I’m humbled by their action and didn’t expect this kind of euphoria to kick start my journey to becoming the next Member of Parliament for Ejisu”. He said.
He urged supporters to ensure campaigns held are violent-free and also rally behind the agenda of retaining President Akufo-Addo in office for a second term.
Parliamentary Primaries in the various Constituencies are scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2020 across the country.
