Fear grips MP; As Sheila Bartels picks form to Contest in upcoming primaries


Daughter of a Former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North and a staunch ally of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mrs. Sheila Bartels-Sam, at the constituency office on Wednesday January 29, picked up a nomination form to face-off the sitting MP in the upcoming primaries of the NPP, slated for April 25, 2020.

Her nomination will not come as a surprise to many of her fellow patriots, as Sheila, has on many occasions expressed the desire to unify the party at the constituency level and also help create sustainable and dignified jobs for the teeming party youth.

Sheila, is also of the hope that she could improve the living standards within the constituency through a deliberate advocacy and collaborations with the general citizenry, if elected as candidate for the Ablekuma North Constituency to assist the party in retaining Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President of the Republic of Ghana.

Accompanied by some members and delegates of the party, including the former constituency chairman, Mr. Charles Amoah Kodom, Sheila, was warmly received by the constituency Chairman, Mr. George Nkrumah and the constituency secretary, Mr Samuel Larbi.

Speaking after she was handed the form, She thanked the executives for their hospitality and reaffirmed her willingness to run her campaign in a manner of respecting all the laid down rules.

Mrs. Sheila Bartels, also assured the executives of her commitment to strengthen the party, as it goes into the upcoming general elections.

Mrs. Sheila Bartels-Sam is the third daughter of a Former Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma North Constituency and a Minister of State in the erstwhile Kufuor’s government, Hon. Peter Kwamena Essilfie Bartels.
