Daniel K. K. Hammond, Deputy Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, has asserted that Hon.  Mavis Hawa Koomson, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Awutu Senya East and Minister for Special initiatives, would be defeated in the upcoming 2020 Parliamentary elections.

He indicated that, the MP and minister has not been special in anyway, as her position has it, and has performed abysmally in the constituency, per the numerous promises she gave electorates during the years of her reign.  

Speaking exclusively to newslinegh.com, to herald the 2020 general election, he said the MP has not undertaken any developmental project or initiative for the constituency.

He stated that, the Special Initiatives minister gave several huge promises which culminated her wining the seat, but delivered none.

Most surprising to him is the fact that after securing a cabinet ministerial appointment in the form of Special Initiative minister, that even has not motivated her to deliver any meaningful initiative to the constituency.

The Communications Officer advised  Awutu Senya East NDC to eschew politics of insult and acrimony, upholding unity and team play to ensure a massive victory in 2020.

He further added that, the party is solid and poised to wrestle power from the incumbent MP, as the constituency is a swing one.
