The NDC newly elected parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency (AWW) John Dumelo, in his victory statement, mocked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as caretakers of the constituency, and has vowed to claim ownership in the upcoming general elections.
“Let the opposing party get this, the owners of Ayawaso are back to take the rented constituency from them. John Dumelo will lead that charge for the NDC”. Dumelo made this declaration after his victory as parliamentary candidate was announced.

John Dumelo’s Victory Message
Thank you Ayawaso West Wuogon , thank you the NDC Delegates, your voice was loud and clear. The party won.
The future of Ayawaso West Wuogon will be built on young people, us, the future of the Ghanaian Republic.
Today,Madam Efua Adoboe has shown that we can deepen democracy in the NDC with a healthy contest. Congratulations to her and myself for the show of maturity after the polls. NDC won.
Let the opposing party get this, the owners of Ayawaso are back to take the rented constituency from them. John Dumelo will lead that charge for the NDC.
Today, the NDC must resolve to win, at the end, myself and John Mahama will deliver that victory; let everyone who lost and got elected participant in that process.
Thank you all, Like Bernie Sanders said, Ayawaso West Wuogon is ready with “Us, not me.”
