Women Volunteer Groups of NPP Call on Mad. Kate Gyamfua
Leadership of the women volunteer groups of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Thursday July 18, 2019, paid a courtesy call on the National Women Organiser, Madam Kate Gyamfua, to address some challenges confronting the groups, and how well they can collaborate as women in strengthening the women wings of the party.
Addressing the group at the party office, Madam Kate Gyamfua, emphasized the need to increase the party’s support base by reaching out to all persons, irrespective of their social status or affiliation to other political parties.
In achieving this, the groups were asked to work hand in hand with party executives of their various constituencies and also reach out to members in their communities on the regular, in the absence of party events.
She also stressed on the need for the ladies to desist from internal fights and squabbles between themselves and their constituency executives and reminded them that such negative acts were not welcome in the party.
Present at the meeting were some party executives namely; Mr. Kwabena Abankwa- Yeboah, National Treasurer, Mr Henry Nana Boakye, National Youth Organizer and Miss Perpetual Lomokie Akwada, Deputy National Youth Organizer.
Others were Mrs Mawusi Awity, Executive Director of the National Vocational Training Institute, and Madam Grace Acheampong, Greater Accra Regional Women Organizer, among others.
