The Ahafo Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdullai Yusif has appealed through Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development, Dr. Mustapha Hamid, to the Ministry of Education to post more Arabic teachers to Ahafo in order to strengthen Islamic education in the region.

Alhaji Abdullai, Speaking to the media at Goaso, when he was inducted the Ahafo Regional Chief Imam, noted Islamic Education in Ahafo is collapsing and needs to be rekindled to inspire Children in Arabic Schools to learn and understand more about their religion, hence the call.

“Quality Islamic Education is one of my top most priorities. So I’m appealing to the Zongo Minister to inform the government and the Education Ministry to bring more Arabic teachers to Ahafo, to help us strengthen Islamic Education. We are far behind”. He said.
