Appointing Sallas Mensah as National Treasurer Commendable- Hon. Ohene Bekoe lauds Council of Elders

The Member of Parliament for Upper West Akim, Hon. Derek Ohene Assifo Bekoe, has commended the National Executives and Council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Mr. Samuel Sallas Mensah’s appointment as National Treasurer of the party.

According to the vociferous lawmaker, Mr. Sallas Mensah is the best person to occupy such a sensitive position as treasurer, especially at the time the NDC is preparing to wrestle power from the incumbent NPP, hence this insightful decision by the Council of Elder and National Executives.

He has therefore called on party faithfuls and sympathizers to assist his predecessor (Mr. Sallas Mensah) in discharging his duties effectively.

Mr. Samuel Sallas Mensah

Mr. Sallas Mensah, at the swearing-in ceremony today, February 26, 2019, thanked the party for the trust reposed in him to manage its finances, and also promised to combine his professional experience with knowledge in politics to help raise Funds to reorganize and strengthen the structures of the party.
