The second window of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP), Presidential Business Support Programme, which was launched on February 14, 2019, seeks to support about Two Thousand (2,000) businesses with a seed capital ranging from GH¢ 10,000 to GH¢ 100,000 respectively.

“In the first window (Window 1), we received applications from well over Seven Thousand (7000) businesses, and all these Businesses were trained in Fifty (50) Incubation Hubs across the Country.

At the end of the training, the Incubation Hubs selected for us Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty (1,350) businesses to be funded including groups and business Associations”. Mr. Kumah disclosed.

Indicating that all the Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty (1,350) businesses received the funding in August last year, and even started repayment on the funds received in September.

He therefore advised applicants not to pay money to anyone, since the entire application process is on the NEIP website, and also sounded a cautionary message to the general public against the criminal tactics of these fraudsters who intend to capitalize on the good intentions of the NEIP programme to defraud others.

“Don’t accept any text message or email asking you to complete your application or fill any form. There are lots of fraudsters who are working very smart to dupe people along the NEIP programme. We are cautioning the public against these fraudsters”. The CEO cautioned.
