Member of Parliament for (MP) for Bibiani Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western Region who double as Deputy Health minister Hon. Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu, together with the Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the National Diabetes Association of Ghana, have organized a four day free intensive health screening for the good people of Bibiani municipality.

The screening exercise was held in four communities, which includes Sefwi Bekwai, Chirano ,Sefwi Anhwiaso and finally climaxed it at the Bibiani Roman Park.

Hon. Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu, the Member of Parliament for the area in an interview with press revealed that, the Health Ministry conducted some research on the Bibiani municipality which established that, there is a high rate of Diabetes, Blood Pressure and Malaria in the constituency, which is why his Ministry and the Bibiani District Assembly, in collaboration with with National Diabetes Association of Ghana, decided to organize a free health screening for the communities.

He added that, health in Ghana is one of government’s priorities and will ensure that everyone receives proper health care, not only NPP members will benefit from such exercise.

He also stressed that, the free health screening exercise will help reduce the rate of Diabetes and other related diseases in the constituency.

The people of Bibiani Municipality who took part in the exercise, also thanked Hon. Aboagye Gyedu and the Assembly for organizing the screening to assist the community in living a healthy life.
