Let’s Do Things That Will Attract Children To School-Hon. Ampem-Nyarko


The Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency, Hon. Thomas Ampem-Nyarko has called on the government, parents and stakeholders to ensure that every school going child benefits from facilities that are conducive enough for learning, and also motivate children with the things that attract them to school.

He said suitable learning environment makes education funs and schools that lack infrastructural development affects pupils studies a way or the other.

Sometimes, He said, school going children are reluctant in attending classes not because they have specific reasons in doing so, but poor facilities or infrastructures could somehow be more discouraging for their studies.

Parents normal direct their focus on the things they need and to provide for their families, forgetting the comfort of their wards in terms of the facilities that provide for their education. Hon. Ampem-Nyarko indicated.

“Primary school children do not really appreciate the essence of education, unlike the grown up that knows the true meaning of education. And so there must be specific things that will attract them to school everyday, which will also help to improvetheirr attendance level. Being it fun games or infrastructure related”. He reiterated.

For this reason, a 4-Unit classroom block has been renovated for the pupils of Anum Anglican Primary School of the Eastern Region, by the Honourable Member Ampem-Nyarko, in collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Connecting Kids Education Foundation (CKEF).

The construction of this classroom block, now beautiful edifice was halted for some reasons years back, but with the intervention and financial support by Hon. Ampem-Nyarko and Connecting Kids Education Foundation, pupils of Anum Anglican Primary can now boast of a suitable learning environment.

According to Hon. Ampem-Nyarko, in ensuring that every school going child gets the requisite education and access to good facilities in other to have serenity for studies, he supported the project with his share of the District Assembly Common fund (DACF).

At the inaugural ceremony of the newly built classroom for Anum Anglican Primary School on Monday, the Asuogyaman Legislator pledged his unflinching support to the school and vouch to project education in Asuogyaman Constituency with the needed facilities and infrastructures.

Hon. Ampem-Nyarko also commended both the Headmistress and the Foundation for their support in ensuring the completion of the building project.

Connecting Kids Education Foundation who recently commissioned an ultra modern Library for the school, also expressed a heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Ampem-Nyarko for being a proud sponsors of the initiative.
