Residents of Brakwa and Kokoso in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region, seem to have exhausted all options on the supply of portable water, as the remaining source of water from the reservoir which have sustained them for weeks, is likely to run out in the next 48hours.

Distribution of pipe-borne water to the citizens of Breman Brakwa, Kokoso and it environs, is said to be ceased in the next two(2) days due to the breakdown of the Electrical Transformers that help in water supplying.

According to the Board Chairman of Brakwa Kokoso Water Board, Lawyer Kwame Amporful, the transformers have broken down for the past week, but the Electricity Company of Ghana (Breman Asikuma Branch) turn dead ears to it whenever they were confronted.

“We are now depending on the reservoir and it will get finished in the next two days”. He hinted.
