Player Exodus; We Need to Strengthen our Rules -GFA Spokesperson
The Communication’s Director of the Ghana Football Association Ibrahim Sanni Daara has admitted that, the Association needs to strengthen its rules as means of ensuring that, the exodus of players from the Ghana Premier League to other countries is minimized, if not totally eradicated.
Speaking in an interview with Angel TV’s Esther Abankwa during the ‘On the Turf’ sports show, Sanni Daara noted that although they cannot prevent players from leaving the country, however, they can reach an agreement with them.
Sanni Daara made this known on the back of his earlier proposal for government to employ the players as means of helping to reduce the high rate of player exodus in the country.
However, commenting on the league in the country, Ibrahim Sanni Daara admitted that the ‘football people’ are the main reason why the league is seemingly struggling.
“In my own advice, we the football people are the course of our own downfall. Our actions might discourage supporters and possible sponsors”. He said.
