The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Atwima Nwabiagya, Hon. Amoah Awuku has schooled Chiefs in the district on the need to build in an appropriate season, in other to avoid unexpected tragedies.
In a durbar held over the weekend at the district Assembly’s conference hall, he educated them to avoid allocating lands nearer to water logged areas for building.
In addition, he said that, individuals must be wary of how they also acquire lands from agents and sellers.
“Let’s be wary of how we by lands , it will be better you acquire your lands at it rightful place, so it does not become a burden during raining seasons”. He reiterated.
In his submission, he also appealed to the media to as well, use their medium to educate the public on refraining from acquiring lands closer to swampy areas.
“The media must help us educate our people (Chiefs), on the reasons we don’t have to build at loamy places, it will be better for everyone”. He stated.
In conclusion, the Presiding member for the Assembly, Hon. Ohemeng Prempeh acknowledged the fraternity’s presence, hence, urged them to practice what they have been taught.
