Sankore Muslims call for peace after NDC, NPP bloody clash

Days after a bloody clashed between the supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which resulted the death of a 31-year-old Kwaku Addai, the Chief Imam for the Asunafo South District Alhaji Salia Mensah has called for peace to prevail.

He was speaking to the media after the Moslem community of Sankore, Kwapong, Camp No 4 and various Zongo chiefs slaughtered a ram as per the guidance of the Holy Qur’an to ask for divine intervention on the subject matter and Holy Qur’an recitations.

The Sankore Zongo Chief, Naaba Alhaji Alhassan Haruna urged the police service and government to intensify investigations into the matter and asked the youth to report any misunderstanding that might ensue among them to their various chiefs for amicable settlement.
