NPP members attack Wontumi, MP over Joseph Agyeman’s appointment as DCE
The concerned members and youth of Ahafo-Ano South-West NPP has expressed their displeasure on how unfairly issues have unfolded in the selection of their District Chief Executive (DCE).
According to them, they have learnt with dismay that, Mr Joseph Agyemang Dapaah has been selected DCE for Ahafo-Ano South, a decision the grassroot can’t comprehend and accept.
Speaking to the leader of the youth, Mr Kwadwo Asare said, the leaders of their party were trying to impose someone who doesn’t know the toils of the members and the genesis of the resounding victory they chalked in the 2016.
According to him, Mr Joseph Dapaah was suspended after speaking against his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo that he cannot become President .
This same person, he said, sold the party car and their land meant for the building of party office without rendering an accounts to anybody.
Prior to the beginning of this process, we were made to understand that, the selection of the DCE will be in consultation with the stakeholders of the district, however we are also aware of the various petitions sent by all the Chiefs, religious leaders, pooling station executives, amongst all assembly members who will be working with the DCE are not in favour of of Mr Joseph Agyemang Dapaah and was never considered.
He said, DCE’s are supposed to be implementing the President policies, so anybody who does not share in his vision like Mr Dapaah who had always opined that Nana Addo can’t be president shouldn’t be implementing his policies.
Anybody whose efforts does not warrant the reward of DCE but hiding behind the two regional minister’s support will not be accepted in the district . He added.
He is then appealing to the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, to fulfilled his promises made after the death of their brother who was the former chairman of Ahafo-Ano South-West, who was involved in an accident during campaign time that, he (The President) will select DCE from Mankranso to honour him of his good work done for the party.
We want someone who is competent, knows our sufferings and someone the masses would accept.”he added.
We are beginning to understand that, Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako and our MP Hon. Johnson Adu, has a hand in the death of our brother that’s why they sent him with a car without licence and insurance. They suspect.
