Minority demand an apology-Hon. Quashigah to Veep
In regards to an alleged statement made in Washington D.C by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, the Member of Parliament for Keta Constituency, Hon. Richard Quashigah has charged Vice-president Bawumia to apologise to Ghanaians and the Minority in Parliament for that unacceptable statement.
It has been reported in the news, He said, the Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, at a recent engagement in Washington D. C, while responding to the minority criticism of the issuance of the recent domestic bond, described the minority as an ignorant bunch who must do some reading to educate themselves.
In a signed statement, Hon. Quashigah has said, If indeed those were his words, then it is not only unfortunate but a very jaundiced conclusion to have been made by him, and for that, he must apologize to them.
“If indeed the reportage as put out by the media is accurate, then he is advised to learn to speak with diplomacy and dignity expected of a Vice-president or else before long, he could cause this nation an incalculable international embarrassment.

Assuming without admitting that the minority got it wrong, couldn’t he have clarified without insults?
Mr. Bawumia, the current Vice President of Ghana, must do the excellent thing by withdrawing and must apologise to the good people of Ghana. The use of intemperate language is unbecoming of the Vice President.
