The Asafoatse for the Ga traditional council Captain Nii Kojo Mankata has threatened to intstall a king for the Ga community, if kingmakers refuse to give them one within the period of one month.
Lamenting that, the Ga state cannot continue to stay without a king any longer, at such, gave the principal king makers of the Ga traditional council one month ultimatum to provide the Ga state a king.
He said as soon as possible, the Ga State needs a ruler who they can confide in (Ga Mantse) before he and the entire Asafoatse of the Ga traditional council take the law into their own hands to install one because the entire Ga’s are fed up staying without a king.
Nii Mankata has therefore given one a month ultimatum before the Homowo, else the Asafoatses will be forced to install someone.
He further stressed that, the entire chief council are not happy with the activities of the entire kingmakers for not installing a king (Ga Mantse) for the Ga land, however, called on them with immediate effect to install one for all Ga’s to rally behindas they celebrate this years homowo festival.
Nii Mankata also urged politicians to stay out of the instalment of the Ga Mantse because their tradition doesn’t have room for politicians.
