The First lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo has expressed disappointment in the Kintampo tragic incident over the weekend, extending condolences and a heartfelt sympathy to both families of the bereaved and wounded.
Expressing her heartfelt sympathy, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo took the opportunity to seek for God’s comfort and strength for those bereaved as well as the injured, during this difficult time.

Dear Parents, family members and friends,
The news of the tragedy at Kintampo has stunned the whole country.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. There are no words I can offer that will make this any easier.
I hope you find some comfort in knowing that the whole of Ghana shares your pain.
I pray that God will comfort and strengthen you during this difficult time.
These were all beautiful young souls and we will always remember them as such.
I also pray for a speedy recovery for all the injured and pray they return home to their loved ones soon.
I pray that no other family would have to go through this ever again.
May the Almighty God watch over you all.
