When King of incompetence talks of competence-Ras Mubarak to Naabu

The Member of Parliament for the Kumbungu constituency, Hon. Abdulai Mohammed Mubarak alias ‘Ras Mubarak’ has reacted to a statement made by Hon. Joseph Bipobi Naabu and has rubbished all allegations levelled against former President John Dramani Mahama of being incompetent and the cause of NDC’s failure in the 2016 general elections.

According to him, Hon. Naabu has been consistent about one thing, acting in a manner that doesn’t help the party. In 2004, he run as an independent candidate against the NDC’s candidate (Hon.Berrick). His action resulted in Hon. Labik emerging as an independent candidate.

“Fast forward 2008, he run again as independent candidate when he lost the primary against our party’s Emmanuel Duut, who won eventually to become MP”.

“He became our official candidate in 2012 where he won with 9,591 (65.32%). JM in that election got 9,904 or 68.50 %”.

In 2016, his votes dropped from 9,591 to 7,031. (43.71%), and interestingly, JM’s votes moved up from 9,904 to 15,302.

So obviously in Hon. Naabu’s own backyard, he’s becoming unpopular and if election results are anything to go by, JM should be on the ballot and Naabu should step aside.

He should be the last to talk about competence at elections. Hon. Ras Mubarak emphasized.
