Residents of New Tafo, Akim and its neighbouring towns are angry over a halt of an uncompleted bridge construction project between Mid Tafo to Old Tafo stretch of the road.

Speaking to the press, residents of this area said, the contractor working on the Akim Kukrantumi to Akim Old Tafo roads has blocked and diverted Mid Tafo to Old Tafo road to construct a bridge which has being in a halt for months making commuters worried.

Visiting the site, it was realised that , the bridge has been dredged and tunnels to be used are there but no sign of workers and machinery.

They are therefore pleading with authorities in charge to expedite the construction process to facilitate smooth transportation of goods and people .
