MR. IVOR GREENSTREET ETHNOCENTRIC COMMENTS MUST BE CONDEMN

I am shocked and disappointed in the Presidential Candidate of CPP Mr. Ivor Greenstreet and the Leadership of CPP, as a whole, over the recent comments made by Mr. Greenstreet in which he referred to Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia ( Vice Presidential Candidate) of the NPP as an ” Accra Northerner” whiles addressing the people of Janga in the Walewale Constituency in the Northern Region.

Ghana has enjoyed long years of Peaceful Elections in this 4th Republic and must continue the enjoy that Peace Before, During and After the 2016 general Election.

Dr. Bawumia was born on October 7, 1963 in Tamale to Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia and Hajai Mariama Bawumia. His father was Paramount Chief of the Kperiga Traditional Area.

He attended the Sakasaka Primary school in Tamale and gained admission to Tamale secondary school where he recently donated an amount of Ghc 50,000 for the renovation of the old Assembly Hall.

He had earlier giving the school Ghc 15,000 for the refurbishment of a Dormitory. He has donated in support of many social interventions in the three Regions up North.

Not long ago, Mr Ivor Greenstreet was needlessly attacked with insults by the NDC for a solidarity message he delivered during the NDC congress in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Greenstreet was described by Mr. Sam George Nettey, Communication consultant to President John Dramani Mahama and also Parliamentary Candidate for Prampram Constituency (NDC) as a man who needs “elevation” because he moves in a wheelchair.

President John Dramani Mahama also described Mr. Greenstreet as one who is suffering from “incurable selective myopia”.

Many Ghanaians supported to condemn these reckless and needles attacks on Mr. Ivor Greenstreet

Ghanaians are suffering under this NDC government, Ghanaians want change therefore if Mr. Ivor Greenstreet means business in this year’s Election then he should speak to the issues and offer better solutions that will transform the lives of Ghanaians, create jobs and build a better future for the next generation.

I call on the Leadership of the CPP to equally condemn the statement made by their Presidential Candidate, Mr. Ivor Greenstreet against Dr. Bawumia.

I also entreat the Peace Council, Christian Council of Ghana and all other institutions and groups to condemn reckless and needless statements by any of the Presidential Candidates and Political parties Before, During and After the Election

Thank you
