About Hundreds of National Democratic Congress (NDC) sympathizers  defied the heavy rainstorm in some areas of Accra on Sunday to witness the grand campaign launch of the Member of Parliament for the Odododiodioo constituency, Hon. Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye.

The launch which took place at the Bukom Square of the Odododiodioo Constituency, attracted NDC bigwigs such as the Major of Accra metropolis who is also a Parliamentary Candidate for the Ablekuma South Constituency, Dr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuijie

Amongst these dignitaries and well wishers were also the National Chairman of the party Mr. Ade Coker, Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the past MP for the area, Mr. Jonathan Nii Tackie Kommey, the National treasurer, the Youth organizers and Women organizers of NDC and almost all the vying Candidates among other dignitaries were also there to declare support.

20161002_164700 The motive for this massive and dignified gathering was to bring the whole party together on one platform to officially present to the people of Odododiodioo, highlights on the developmental stride Hon. Nii Lantey has made for his constituents, to also outline some of the problems facing the constituency and address them accordingly

Addressing the massive crowd at the campaign grounds, Hon. Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye acknowledged that, upon all the unforeseen challenges facing the Mahama administration, the government has strived hard to deliver on his promise of providing substantial infrastructural pedestal across the country

Sympathizers show love as the Honourable minister mounts on stage

Focusing on the need to retain President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming December elections, the Sports Minister and MP for the area, Hon. Vanderpuye reiterated the party’s strong commitments by investing heavily in infrastructure development and desire of ensuring that these solid foundation built by the NDC government will be adhered.

“If you are a Ghanaian and believe in a crusade to build a country fit for our children and grandchildren, if you support investments in education, if you care about your children’s future, then join us as we go for victory and together, we can make the difference”. He conveyed.

On his part to address party members at the campaign launch, Dr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuijie reinforced Hon. Nii Lantey’s stance, by conveying his unflagging support and therefore urged the good people of Odododiodioo to vote massively for him to continue on the ongoing developmental whirlwind that is blowing in the Odododiodioo constituency under the leadership of Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye

“Four years ago, this Constituency gave Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye and John Dramani Mahama 62% of votes margin and they have proven to be worthy of your votes, but this time, I am urging for a 70% and I know you won’t disappoint us because we have worked enough to get that percentage from you people and I believe you will vote excessively for Hon. Nii Lantey and the NDC in this coming December election”.Dr. Oko Vanderpuijie noted.
