Akyem Oda-Fire guts Oman Komfour’s Residence

65157049-295A Four bed room house belonging to the Akyem Kotoku Omankomfour was raised down by fire destroying properties running up to millions of cedis.

Some of the items destroyed by the fire which started around 10 a.m at the Omankofour’s house at Old Town, a suburb of Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipal of the Eastern Region include, electric machines, mattress, cloths, phones, gold jewelry and GHC1, 300 physical cash It too personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service close to 30 minutes to put out the fire.

Speaking to Ofie News, the Akyem Kotoku Omankomfour Nana Kwame Appeatu, said, the house was guttered by fire on his way to visit a friend.

He said, he and his family lost all their personal effects in the fire and called on the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Birim Central Municipal Assembly, Government and other benevolent Organization to come to their aid.

When speaking to Ofie News after putting out the fire, Joseph Bryden of the Ghana National Fire Service advised the public to be careful with fire since fire outbreaks do not give warnings before happening and can cause harm in a twinkle on an eye.

He said, the cause of the fire is yet to establish saying, investigations have begun to know the exact cause of the fire adding, no casualties were recorded during the fire outbreak.
